Paying Your Excess
Generally, most insurance policies have an excess. In most cases the Insurance Company will request the insured to pay the excess directly to the authorized builder. Once the excess has been collected by us or paid directly to the Insurance Company and confirmation forwarded through – trades can be scheduled to begin the repairs.
Throughout repairs, we require our trades to ask every customer to sign a completion certificate to confirm that the customer is satisfied with the repairs they have performed. This provides us the opportunity to rectify any concerns that the customer has identified prior to progressing to the next trade ie: for instance for plastering, then for painting, then for cabinetry.
When all repairs are complete, the customer will be contacted by the Building Repair Coordinator to discuss their experience. Once completely satisfied we notify the relevant client – insurance company or loss adjuster by phone and email through the final documents and close the claim.
